Worst management I have ever encountered. Both incompetent and control freak: Dangerous combination.
Pros
Nice facility/workspaces. Many many really nice people, hardworking and competent, even in various management roles. Company is environmentally friendly and are very strict with respect to workplace sensitivity. Things like racism, sexism or harassment are not tolerated as far as I could see.
Cons
Lots of nice people, but a few terrible people in the wrong positions ruin it for everyone. Middle management in IT department are clueless but still insist on exerting total control. They bring micromanagement to a new level that I didn't know could exist. It's one thing when management knows what it is doing and makes everyone do things their way and have a track record of success. It's another when the IT manager demands that that things be done the wrong way over and over again. The whole IT department comes crashing down when the floor level manager allows more senior management to completely make everyone's lives miserable.
