      Decent Company - but not much employee Growth

      Pros

      The company is stable and opportunities to move around exist. People are generally quite nice and the working environment is pleasant

      Cons

      But there are limits to management positions where many roles (mid-management) are occupied by young French people who are parachuted in to take over from the locals.

      Pros

      Good boss (this seems to be rare) Autonomy Responsibility Given my role as an intern, I was almost left to work independently which was a big plus, since I think this is rare.

      Cons

      Poor company culture Lots of attrition Working in the Allston Landing Facility, I noticed that there were people leaving every week -- just from our department alone. Many co-workers expressed frustration with Genzyme culture, and the lack of support and empathy from upper management towards retention and development of staff.
