      This is a very interesting business. You can travel the world & learn a lot.

      Pros

      It used to be, in 1991 and before, that the upper management knew the workforce and the customers very well. There was a strong team culture in the US. Now the culture is more towards the collective, not the individual and this has resulted in stagnant growth.

      Cons

      The growth is slow and a lot of business has moved off shore. Management is in Europe & Canada. You are a second class citizen compared with the head office & employees in Sweden.

      Pros

      Best to have Mining or Construction back ground in order to excel with this company. Having a strong mentor within Sandvik will definately help your chances to move up with this company.

      Cons

      ERP system and fragmented systems make a simple task much more complicated than what it should be. Customer is suppose to be number one but internal staff make it difficult to do that.
