Possibly one of the least diverse companies I've ever worked at. This in combination with that Sandvik har business and offices worldwide and has a unique possibility to support and invest in diversity and inclusion. Astonishing how many white middle-aged underachieving males a company of this size can find to throw high salaries and VP titles on.
Despite high demands and elaborate tests when recruiting, no-one is in general promoted internally (except of course some random white males, despite how good or bad they actually are). New managers are always found externally. The ridiculous part is that management is not that intelligent and not really too business minded so anything that need to be explained to a superior must be done in simple words and with pictures because otherwise they don't understand.
I guess that a smart person with another ethnic background or a woman is scary for people who only want to hear what they want to hear and not what they need to hear.
