Pros

Company car with all expenses paid, phone, laptop.

Cons

-Ways of working are a joke. A constant shell game with so many changes that nobody wins. -They want you to spend more time on your computer logging all of your opportunities than spending time in front of customers. -Regional sales managers are spread so thin they can't be efficient at their jobs. -Coromant is a marketing genius but once you get behind the curtain it's all smoke and mirrors. I would rank them right up there with Yeti, Costas, and Bow Flex. Marketed very well but offering nothing more than overpriced illusions of grandeur. -You would serve yourself better to work for another carbide tool manufacturer such as Iscar, Sumitomo, Mitsubishi, or even Kyocera. At least you would be able to sell decent tooling at an affordable price. -Publicly traded company that's more concerned with protecting their investors than they are their own employees. Sandvik Blue will lay off 2,000 employees globally by the end of 2019 to "right size" the company and pad the wallets of their investors. Glory! -It's a shame that what was once a great company has succumbed to the stereotypical corporate greed mentality. I'm certain that Göran Göransson is rolling over in his grave. May he Rest in Peace.

Pros

You will get good benefits and a steady small paycheck. The training you receive from EHS, Quality and safety is real good. Very large budget to buy whatever is needed to keep the machines running.

Cons

Upper management like Presidents and plant managers care nothing about you, your very small raise or any of your concerns. The hardest part is sitting back and watching the always changing management make the same mistakes over and over. Very political place! Watch what you say because the plant managers are very vindictive. What goes on behind closed doors is totally different than what is presented to production staff.
