Pros

1. Free Food. 2. Free AC Transport. 3. Money if you are getting good ratings.

Cons

I found many and few are as below - 1. No work Culture. 2. Now a days new trend is "Test". They have many level of test and if you are not able to clear those test you might loss your job and test is not relevant to your work at all.Test is the level of like you are working for "NASA". 3.Origin of politics is rating - They have annual rating to employees from 1 to 5.(1 is best 5 is worst). For that they need to maintain Bell curve.Which results around 25% employee will fall in to rating 4 & 5. End result is No hike for those employee and they have maximum 2~4 months to get a new job as HR will start asking to them to search a new Job they will thrown out of projects.Though if you get 1 or 2 rating no issue at all. If you are a new joiner then you have fair enough chances to get 4 & 5 rating. 4. No work life balance you have to complete 8.30 hours in side office barrier not doing this will effect your salary. So if you have work or not you have to be there in office. 5. Management is not so effective(Both Indian and Korean). 6. No new technologies to work on. 7. Current environment of company is - Most of trying to get new job outside or preparing for Test.No one is interested in work. 8. Engineers have least values. 9. Most of employees are working here due to NCR as they have home near by apart from that no reasons. Including mine also.

Pros

1. Good pay 2. Free food 3. Free transportation

Cons

1. No trust in employees. - For example, there are security gates in every building and 6~7 security guards who swipe you when you pass the gate. Literally you are passing the security gate of an airport when you pass every building. And they use that stick to swipe you. - It is painstakingly difficult to take your computer out of the office, thus literally no one does it. 2. Poor IT infrastructure - Even though it is an IT company, you don't have access to almost all IT tools that allows efficient work. For example, most of the employees don't use Outlook. Recently, not even Microsoft Word. - Samsung has a tool called MySingle, created by Samsung SDS. And if you want to experience one of the worst IT tools in the world join the team. 3. Inefficient - On top of the lack of IT tools, you will see people here sit in their desks writing reports for their bosses 80% of their time. These reports are for either their boss or their boss to report to their boss. This report is revised every time it goes up the chain of command. I have spent over a day writing a 2 page presentation file for a executive here. And it was with 5 people! - Let me give you another fun example of inefficiency. In order to submit a form or send an email to a senior person (note, not even an executive), you need to call that person's subordenient and get her/him to understand everything about what you want to do. If you don't you willl not get your form approved or get the thing you want to get done which you wished through the email sent. FYI this might take a week to get done. 4. Endless reporting - Reporting will consumes 80% of your time. - And good reporting skill is highly valuable in Samsung Electronics. Of course reporting on the thing that you worked on and put effort into is not bad. But, in Samsung Electronics the actual work you do is not really important, it's all about reporting. And the reporting is very frequent. For instance, for some projects you will have to report to your executive, your team's executive, the CEO, etc. And for every report it will consume at least 1 day. And need to update almost every week. 5. And so much more. But you need to join to experience. Don't want to ruin ir for you.

Terrible Business Culture

Pros

- Great name to have on your CV - Decent benefits package

Cons

- Awful hierarchical work culture. Employees are expected to carry out orders quickly and without questioning them. Discussing ideas, taking time to make decisions and discovering innovative solutions are actively discouraged. - Preferential treatment of Korean employees. Western colleagues are treated like potential corporate spies, refused access to many essential systems and databases and spend most of their time justifying their purpose as a paid employee to managers in Seoul. Korean colleagues in Seoul have a far more favourable bonus system and the 'expats' have private school fees for their kids paid for and are treated with kid gloves by HR. - Shocking IT infrastructure. The 'in-house' software and systems are laughable. Much of it is improperly translated (despite English being proudly proclaimed as the company language) with both over zealous security restrictions and multiple security loopholes. The documentation of system architecture is non-existant. - Pointless reporting. Most staff spend upwards of 40% of their time producing largely useless reports and massaging figures where necessary. Management's solution to most problems was simply "make a new report for this". Simply spreadsheets full of numbers at people will not solve many of the complex structural difficulties facing this company.
