Pros

Having worked for multiple locations and positions in the company I must say overall they are a good company to work for. Benefits are pretty good for all employees and even offered to part time associates after a period of time. Managers are split about in half between those who know what they are doing and those that aren't.

Cons

Due to the size of the company, much of the company direction "comes down from above" with little store management support or knowledge of what's going on. Promotion system is set up to be fair, but many times is manipulated. Open door policy is a joke.

Pros

Most workers are friendly and helpful. Pays more than typical retail job. If you work for the company the opportunity for new career advancement is pretty high.

Cons

Communication between workers and management. Spend alot of time trying to cover others work, but the organization of tasks and responsibilities can be poor. Schedule will change often, and taking off days can be a problem.

Pros

I worked at Sam's Club part time one summer as a membership associate. They payed better than all of the other stores in the area, and the work environment was pleasant for what it was. Their scheduling, as with most stores, sucks - they pick random hours and days for you to work. You can request off certain days pretty easily though, so its not so bad. I'd work there again if I was looking for a part time summer job. Also, once you've worked there for a bit, I believe you can move up to management positions fairly easily if you're interested. They offer training courses and stuff like that.

Cons

-Random hours / schedules (like most stores, I think) -pay is pretty bad compared to anything besides minimum wage jobs -you have to stand the entire time you're there (again, like all stores)
