The ability to look for other employment during the day. And free membership.

Pros

-recognition. If you work hard, your fellow associates are going to notice. They'll be more likely to help you out when you need it, and be more willing to move you to a better position at the club. I've just started as a Cart Attendant a few months ago and next week, I will be a Sales Associate, because I have busted my butt. -respect. The level of respect that associates have toward one another makes it that much easier to turn around and show that respect back to them. -a good environment. What can I say? Sam's Club is a great environment to work in. Associates are very friendly and prone to helping each other out without being instructed to do so by supervisors or management.

Cons

-gossip. Like any other workplace, there's going to be gossip about who's doing what with whom. I personally don't take part, but I'd be lying to say I haven't heard it take place. -budget crunches. It seems like for almost two months the entire club was completely understaffed (like a skeleton crew) and they just wouldn't hire. I know I was personally working right under 40 hours that week and they even gave me some overtime more than once. It was because we didn't have enough people. And management is slow to order things that aren't for sale.
