Good Pay, but prepare for Craziness.

Pros

Good Pay, free membership card

Cons

Poor management, constant changing of rules and gossip. Also, the customers are the worst part, especially near a ghetto area. Very hard to get Full-time status, but they will let you work full-time hours for 12 weeks then cut you down to nothing so they can bypass the policy of making a full-timer if they work full-time hours more then 12 weeks. However, depends where you work, the last club was the worst but I worked in other clubs where these problems are not that bad.

Pros

I am given opportunities to grown and share my love of photography. I am valued by the Managers and our Members and get a lot of job satisfaction in addition to the occasional hug. I do not mind getting up and going to work and that makes my life happy.

Cons

There is not a lot of growth in the photo area which could be a deterrent if I were younger and wanted to advance. There are plenty of advancement opportunities at Sam's Club, but you would need to move out of the lab and I am happy where I am.

Pros

Decent pay If you did your work- you'd be ok

Cons

Late nights- we didn't leave til midnight, sometimes 1AM. Managers would get mad and state that they have lives they need to attend to, so do we! Favoritism- Managers make a point on who their favorites are. If you were one, you could expect a lot of opportunities for moving up in rank, if you weren't, forget it. Level of standards- It's good to have a certain level of standards, but the standards at the club i was employed at were ridiculous. Managers would expect things to be "laser-beam straight" Gossip- Try to keep to yourself, especially on personal issues, don't necessarily trust anyone. Fake people- Co workers can be and are entirely fake- they'll act friendly to your face, but will sit in the breakroom trashing everyone behind their backs. You can get fired easily without warning for extremely dumb reasons, but as long as you did your job and didn't upset any of the management, you'd be fine. Managers: The club manager was great for the most part, but some managers were rude, disrespectful, and would tear some associates down.
