      Declining culture, but still better than most

      Pros

      Leadership and company generally talk a good game about prioritizing employees, and some may actually believe it. Decent commitment to philanthropy. At least in my corner of the world, lots of ground level employees who are competent and empathetic.

      Cons

      Uncle Beni seems to want to do the right thing by employees on some level, but is too far out of touch with non-billionaires and too focused on BUSINESS to prioritize employees over stock price. Like most tech leadership, a lot of the c suite seems to spend most of their time parroting other tech execs. Hard to get anything done cross-org. Conflicting incentives for different job functions and orgs.

      Pros

      Good company culture: lots of events, food, sometimes traveling for client meetings SF heavily invests in new tech so good upskilling potential A bit of a gossip vibe in the office Not an intense work load 95% of the time

      Cons

      Very stressful when not hitting target Sometimes management is not particularly competent and you wonder how they got there The level IQ of most is normal/ its not the place where you feel you’re with the best minds and the brightest people
