Some frustrations but still a great place to work

Pros

Great team and environment. The reward structure is good, with the excellent bonuses - in most roles I’m sure you wouldn’t find similar compensation packages. No micromanagement so able to work in a flexible way.

Cons

The change to 3 days in office is not ideal (some of the backlash has been ridiculous though- pros still outweigh the cons and if they don’t then I guess you find a new role) Some of the processes at Sage are complex and it makes for slow progress.

Simply disappointing

Pros

Sage still manages to have a wonderful team culture. Individuals are sideways willing to pull together to achieve targets and meet deadlines. Sage allows 5 days a year for Foundation charity work. Which always you too feel you make a difference in the world.

Cons

There seems to have been a cultural shift recently. The fact teams pull together, seems to be in spite of the overall change rather than because of it. Of course I'm talking about the demoralising forever return to the office that will for some reduce effective team collaboration, force a de facto pay cut, and damage work life balance. I like to think they'd take on board feedback, but I fear the only really response will be either another copy and paste or to ignore it. Either that or have someone post a fake positive review to try to counter it. I would no longer recommend Sage as a place to work.
