      Opportunities are extensive in several areas and interests. Technical career ladder as well as management ladder Coworkers having extensive backgrounds and education Interesting projects to work on People are from different nationalities making us a true global company Schlumberger tends to do the right thing vs. our competition being a little shady

      Cons

      Size eliminating sometimes the visibility of projects and the importance of these Management being too centralized on objectives and not listening to people on the mfg floors and their needs Size not allowing for quick decisions Too technical on all aspects instead on the required aspects. Sometimes a small decision becomes an odyssey

      Pros

      Best thing to do is to work as an international mobile (good salary and benefits). Training is the best there is on the oilfield. Other companys actually head hunt SLB's people with better salaries after the 3 year training. So if you manage to complete your fixed step promotion until grade 11, you can rest assured that your career opportunities will widen. Its also a trully international company.

      Cons

      There's no balance between work and your personal for the first couple of years you start as a field engineer. But as I said, if you manage to complete the first couple of years, you'll be OK.
