Pros

-Very high responsibility -Great Leadership -Very high salary in some locations -Builds up a great character -Looks great on your CV -Teaches how to handle all kinds of pressure

Cons

-Some bad managers can make your life very tough -Never ending working hours when in the field -Some places are payed less than the average market pay (Indonesia is an example) -some locations are unsurvivable -In the long term the knowledge is no relative to Schlumberger and could not be leveraged in any other company except competitors.

Decent salary pay, but a pathetic bonus package. Learn A LOT!

Cons

Terrible working conditions, no respect, no balance, they will work you until you are dead and then use your body to fertilize the next crop of innocent engineers

Lots of International Travel opportunities Comany benefits- life insurance, retirement, medical/health If willing to work very hard, bonuses can make a lot of bonuses

Cons

Work-life balance is practically non existent. Career progression from field upwards is very slow. Management keeps changing very often. Computer hardware and software support is outdated.
