Great employer that somewhat neglects the compentence within the firm
Pros
Worked at SKF Sweden for 9 years, they provide a lot of benefits and take good care of the employees. Even small things like christmas gifts make a good impact on the general work morale. There are quite good possibilities to advance in the company. The pay is one of the best in class and they pride themselves with providing high quality goods to the market. As an employee you have a lot of responsibility to carry out your work and there is little micro management being done from higher ups. Feels a bit like a family owned company more then a large industrial firm.
Cons
The internal bonus goals are set way to high and they are rarely accomplished. Internal advancement is somewhat neglected and often you compete with outsiders for the same job application. Somewhat heavy managed firm and it is not that flexible.
