      Great department, overshadowed by short-sighted top central management

      - Flat hierarchy - Short decision making process, versatile - Department's management actually cares and listens to their employees - Department's management has a focus on safety, quality and professionality - Growth possibilities - Possibility to take on a varied selection of responsibilities

      Cons

      - All of the pro's can get squashed by the top central management's singular focus on (shareholders') profitability and lack of care about quality of the work and employee happiness. Effectively overstretching their employees' responsibility as far as being not just inconsiderate, but irresponsible as well, as a result facilitating a company which consists mostly of window-dressing which compromises safety and quality. - Not the highest payer on the market

      Pros

      Every single member of the lab teams are a joy to be around, they make the day go by so quickly and get you laughing all the time.

      Cons

      Management however do not understand how to mediate the workload. Management would claim a limit on samples exists, but on the ground we just see the same high numbers we no change. If people take days off, the rest of us are expected to pick up what they did with no help from Management. The mental strain that the management put on the workforce has caused multiple members of staff to have mental breakdowns and nothing had been done to support their recovery.
