Pros

SAS has very good products and understands the needs of the employees. Senior management at HQ and R&D are passionate about the products they generate and it is an inspiration to see people working not just for the money, but to put out great products that they feel is useful for businesses. Great benefits, covering even family members, very rarely seen in local companies. Location is optimal, convenient for people to travel to work from all over the country. Work-life balance wise, team managers/directors are supportive. Open to flexible work locations and timings. More results focused and less of a clock-in-clock-out mentality, although sometimes it feels as if HR prefers a more time-sensitive culture. The values of the company are spot on and caters accurately to what the market is looking for. Asia Pacific and HQ teams are fully appreciative of the work done by the compliance teams in the local entities. They are great morale boosters and great support.

Cons

Local HR needs to be clearer in their focus on how they can add value to the company. An employee handbook that clearly dictates the rights and obligations of employees would be useful. Compensation is not clearly communicated to the managers and hence, the pay is usually below market, but made up for by the good benefits. A career plan would be good to help employees see a future with the company and to stay longer with the company. More team work is needed between teams. Sales should be more transparent with the deal structure, pricing etc.so that every team supporting them is able to fully understand the needs of the deal and provide adequate support, rather then groping in the dark. Sales also needs to understand what the support teams have done to assist them in the deals and not keep thinking that support team is dragging them down. Team work is at times lacking and this is eroding the good work the senior management had done to build SAS into a pleasant place to work, an employer of choice.

Pros

There is almost no work pressure at SAS Research & Development India Pvt Ltd. So in short you can say its a retirement company.

Cons

Higher management is full of power hungry people and as there is no work pressure, people release there energy in negative things. You will rarely find technical people at SAS Research & Development India Pvt Ltd. Few people mistaken the culture as SAS Institute, USA is famous for the work culture.
