Great work environment! Lots of benefits that really pay off if you have a young family. If you live in the Triangle area, saying that you work for SAS is very well recognized and opens many doors. Great software that reaches pretty much any industry - you can branch out easily to any type of industry. All that talk about work-life balance is really true here. You can take it easy here, enjoy your family/personal time while working with cutting edge technology.
Cons
It is hard to advance in this organization where years of services is sometimes valued more than hard work. Salaries are not great and you can kill yourself working and delivering that at the end of the year you can get 1-3% salary adjustment. Work could be more challenging and productive here. If you're looking for a fast-paced competitive environment and also interested in the big bucks this is not the place.
