Pros

If you were there in the 80's & 90's and still there now, it's probably a fantastic place to wait out for your subsidised pension to kick in...

Cons

As a technology it is unsellable to new customers. Complex tools, specialist skills, long deployment cycles (8weeks for a cloud offering...!), archaic t&c's and legal engagement. Lack of flexibility in new opportunities - Unless a new opportunity looks, smells and tastes exactly like something that they have done before and been successful, the business packs up and walks away leaving sales high and dry. Remarkably sales management are actually blaming the sales people for leaving rather than looking at their own lack of ability and self preservation. It's just a waiting game till the leave themselves or get fired for lack of results or impact.

Pros

One of the Fast Growing Companies One of the best places to work for Great Products which has Future Good Customer Base since it's inception

Cons

The management should be guided on the interview process. While interviewing a candidate things which should be majorly noted are - Confidence of the candidate, Knowledge about the industry, Having specific skill set of products like SAS, What value add can be brought to the table by the candidate but instead candidates are seen as competition if they are appearing from the competitive organization and been asked questions about existing customer base which the management should understand are confidential to the candidate's current organization.

Pros

Better than average health benefits (sales comp is well below industry standard).

Cons

Many employees started in sales than move to an operations position. Very telling to how SAS treats sales professionals. Lots of administration in this company which makes simple tasks more complex with lots of unnecessary checks and balances. I would guess triple the administrative staff of most companies a similar size.
