      A once good company struggling with changes, some employees suffering

      Pros

      good benefits, progressive culture, good hardware, good internal tech support (R&D).

      Cons

      constant turn-over (not usual for this company) that leaves existing staff to bear the burden, without the benefit of compensation. Still silo'd. Developers are the "gods" and disrespect tech writers (and sometimes tech support) who have to be on the "front lines" dealing with customers.

      Pros

      A lot of really great people work there. In this area, SAS was once considered "the" place to work.

      Cons

      The benefits that SAS was founded on have kind of faded. They were once considered cutting edge but most are now common place. Meanwhile SAS has gradually dialed back on them and has done a great job of letting us all know how lucky we are to get what we are getting.

      Good benefits/healthcare Unlimited sick time Good amount of vacation Healthcare center on site Work/life balance

      Cons

      Refusal to let employees work remotely post-covid. (this is the way of the Future of Work and lots of people will leave if they can't get that) Very old-school in many ways. Outdated systems Not the best/clear communication. Little opportunity for growth due to low turnover
