      Cons

      Lots of dead weight.. it only matters who you know and not what you know. Reminds me of employee adult daycare for those that have been there for decades. It most companies retention is good to minimize drain on culture and institutional knowledge. Unfortunately for SAS, it’s a detriment.

      Only focus on software revenue, lack of leadership and direction especially in the new AI market.

      Pros

      The employees who are over 45 are very nice and pleasant to work with; Many “perks” (as long as you work at SAS HQ in Cary, NC); Offers many options for learning through multiple internal systems.

      Cons

      Most employees between theirearly 20’s to late 30’s seem to think they are “owed” higher salaries without putting in the work and/or try to step over people in their efforts to climb that corporate ladder; management does not seem to care about you or your ideas; does not know how to deal or work with remote employees; and don’t try to seek assistance from th HR department since the HR folks are not very helpful or sympathetic to your problems.
