Company:
Pay, including raises and bonuses, were lower than I was used to at other non-government jobs.
SSOD:
There is no work life balance in this division. You're told when you're hired that they're not a 35-hour a week division, but they don't tell you it's routinely nights and weekends, with no work-day time off even when you're called to work for several hours the night before (even 3 AM). Expect minimum 45 hour work weeks, frequent 50+. People are leaving this division in droves for a reason. And while the number of customers is increasing, the number of new/replacement employees is not keeping pace.
Sick leave warning: It may say "unlimited" sick leave in the new employee benefits package, but if you take more than 5 days in a year, you'll be verbally counseled. People routinely show up to work obviously sick, and spreading their germs to coworkers. God help you if you need to take FMLA, especially more than once.
