Pros

The office is in the city centre so commuting is not a problem. The work environment is fantastic with plenty of support throughout a project as well as in regards to personal growth/development.

Cons

Do not let you bring your dog to work.

Pros

Imagine working for a company where every. single.human.being there genuinely cares about you. Personally. And about the work you do. And about you long-term career development. Also, about your family. And health. And just general happiness. Yep - that's what it's like to work at SAS.

Cons

As a more mature software company, there are emerging competitors, market perceptions to adjust, and business pivots to make. Those could be scary to some. I think they are interesting problems to solve.

SAS Dublin -

Pros

SAS is a leader in the market of Analytics which provides solutions to a variety of customers. Good benefits package but not competitive.

Cons

Despite being a leader with fantastic technology, SAS Dublin does not seem to have a matching sales strategy. It relies on its long term customers and renewals fees. It is difficult to engage with customers in the mid-market sphere. The Inside Sales Centre is very poorly managed and there is a very high turnover. No actions are taken from senior management to cope with these challenges. There is no proper on-boarding programme or training which leads to a lot of disappointment in new hires. There is no real sales strategy in place either. Sales targets are very hard to achieve. Over my time there, I have seen the most talented people leave the organization seeking more better career opportunities.
