Pros

- Good pay - Decent benefits and compensation - Flexible work environment but things are changing - Work situation is highly dependent on the project - Most colleagues are nice and helpful depending on your project and department - Global help groups are really helpful

Cons

- Lack of technical mentorship - Some colleagues will tell you to just read the code or a messy document to understand when you ask for help - Working more than the stipulated hours seems to be the norm and regarded as being hardworking - Good work is rewarded with more work - Some are overworked and lack commitment to one project leading to miscommunication

- Great office location with a regularly stocked pantry - Friendly folks to work with - In the area of analytics with possible exposure to other domains (mostly banks) - Good work-life balance (may depend on client) - Generous budget for teambuilding events and food

Cons

- The competency of clients and team members may vary wildly - Lack of technical mentorship - No set of best practices that can be passed on to help future teams avoid the same mistakes - Proprietary tech (skills may not be transferrable) - No communication on pay raise - Company is moving towards IPO and watching their budgets tightly

Pros

Work/remote work flexibility is great, compensation is not on par with industry - but not bad, job security is good.

Cons

Management is ineffective in helping employees that report to them. SAS is slowing becoming irrelevant. Costly software and professional services means less work on the horizon for consultants.
