Pros

Nice co-workers, good benefits, office

Cons

Non-union employees treated much worse than union employees. Organization cut employee pay raises and bonuses while giving massive raises to upper most management. How is that a union? Poor culture - very little happiness or job satisfaction.

Great Experience, but...

Pros

Helping performers make a living and improving their lives is an important cause. It was a great experience and a place I am proud to have worked.

Cons

Since the 2012 merger of SAG and AFTRA, there will be far fewer professional opportunities as they downsize the organization. Internal politics, both with members and staff, run hot and heavy, and the elbows can be very sharp. Lots of night and weekend work for mid and senior level staff.
