      Pros

      Was given a lot of "stretch opportunities" outside of my job description and pay band which I used to become qualified for a role in a new industry. The products are incredible and they do care about pets most.

      Cons

      Leadership is incredibly out of touch with the needs of the business in both people and technology. There is no clear path for promotion unless you want to become a people leader (which isn't for everyone) and the pay is very low. I had hoped to have been with the business for many years to come but got tired of running into brick walls with any and all innovation.

      Sad what has become of what WAS a great company to work for

      Part of Mars. Free Pet food (you do get hit with the taxes for it so be prepared)

      Cons

      There used to be a great culture but that all changed when the forced the former CEO away and did a consultant driven reorg. Where the former leadership team followed the Mars 5 principles and were always visible and in St Charles, they all left when their jobs were taken by European associates using the US business as a check the box for their career progression within Mars. The leadership is now mostly out of NY, rarely seen and they have no idea how the US business works. There is a severe lack of kibble (food) and all the management cares about is the promotion of the day that the French team is pushing so they look good.
