      Pros

      Excellent engineering organisation, employes some of the best engineers in the business.

      Cons

      Talented engineers are not rewarded as well as they should be for developing engineering skills. The only way to progress is to move around the organisation and become a 'jack of all trades'.

      Great product with exceptional engineering challenges, huge potential Giving employees a lot of freedom (good if you are a young self starter) Potential of quick progression through lower ranks (although not always for the right reasons) Very competitive compensation for UK engineering Most senior executive decisions make sense for the business

      Not so great compensation in global comparison Not yet fully embracing the global nature of the business that it has grown into Trying to grow management in terms of quantity, not quality In many locations, not the world-class working environment that would be expected from the name Too many managers for the individual contributors There is a tendency to come up with new 'mandatory' concepts and procedures without ever removing what they were meant to replace, leading to complex procedural structures
