Pros
There are still some long term employees that are amazing to work with
Cons
Company is routinely eliminating long term employees (over 10-15 years who still have pensions). It's well known in the company that those left with experience and pensions are targeted for each round as "consider laying off these folks first". After a year of layoff rounds every few months employees were told that we needed to be in-office 3 days per week due to a large portion of our workforce now being under 3 years at the company and that those people need those with experience to be there in person to learn from others. There has been no reasoning with the policy (i.e. in cases where an employee has worked for a decade from home prior and does not work with anyone locally in their role). Management policy is absolute, tracking with the promise of potential fire for cause without compliance.
