Good place to work, good group of people.

Pros

Rockwell has a nice team of people that work well together. There was a genuine sense of working together, and I was not aware of major tensions between people or groups. Support, Development, QA, and Consulting all work well together. A good measure of whether co-workers really get along is to see if they hang out together after work, and I found that people often did get together on Friday nights and had a good time together.

Cons

I can't think of anything particularly bad that stands out.

Stable, good benefits, consistent. They treat you well and I really like my manager.

Cons

Not sure if non-engineers have much of a future here, yet. Fairly homogeneous work force: mostly male, mid-west, white, middle age engineers.

Pros

Knowledgeable coworkers that are generally easy to get along with. Very flexible options when it comes to balancing work and life. If you do your job well and don't make too many waves, things will take care of themselves.

Cons

The idiots seem to have been issued Teflon jackets, I think we keep them around so they can fill the mandatory 1% of poor performers when it comes time for performance reviews to protect the good workers.
