Get ready to be glued to your desk for the first 6 months. I am talking about working a minimum of 7:30 am- 5:30 pm with no lunch. Yep, I said it, no lunch. And if you do take a lunch, get ready to be grilled on where you are going, who you are going with and if there is a potential to make money....even if you are going to lunch with your mom.
There is alot of closed door meetings and whispering amongst management and senior employees. You constantly will feel like you are in the dark.
Upper Management doesn't care if you succeed. In fact, my upper management would come in and not speak to the new people at all. I was also told by my office manager that it wasn't her job to motivate people. As a sales manager, it isn't your job to motivate your people? Really?
I did great my first 6 months. I even started getting bonuses. I was told we were going to be adding a person to our team. Little did I know that in fact, I would be getting fired for "not being motivated" and replaced. With no feedback on my motivation, performance or attitude, I was fired, out of the blue. Caveat Emptor!!! Buyer Beware!!
