Pros

Training is intense and extremely helpful for a new person. Also, it's such a high turnover environment, you make a lot of network contacts because most people leave this place after 2 years and become very successful somewhere else. It's helped my career.

Cons

Work-life Balance: None. If you have kids and a family, this is not a place to work. Benefits: ok to poor Compensation: Below market average salary wise, both bonus and base

Pros

Decent hours. Can't actually think of any other pros.

Cons

I was a "staffing manager." High-pressure work environment. Greed all around. I was told by my direct manager "you need to learn how to lie to people, just tell them what they want to hear" and "if they aren't giving you what you want, just hang up and move on -- these people are a dime a dozen." OfficeTeam has the highest markup of any of its competitors -- so the clients overpay, and the temps are underpaid. They won't let anyone temp for them at these low rates until the job seeker ponies up the names and phone numbers of three past managers -- under the guise of a "reference check" (after a few bogus questions about your work performance, somehow the conversation miraculously morphs into a sales call about what projects your ex-manager could use some help on and how OfficeTeam are just the ones to "help out"). The prestigious address in downtown Orlando comes with a hefty price tag for parking -- and that comes out of your pocket.

Pros

Decent office locations with plenty of places to get food nearby... Some of the people they hire are really cool people.

Cons

The company values metrics - the dials you make, how many interviews you set, the people you can get to start, how high of a margin you can charge for consultants, how many people you can get to work with you. Work/life balance is nonexistent. Expect 50-60 hour work weeks to be even moderately successful. You'll be asked to add work email on your phone, give your cell phone number to candidates, link your work email to your LinkedIn, and provide them the password when you leave... Oh, by the way, there's also a social media policy that specifies what you're allowed to say online...They also pull bait and switches on new hires and don't offer what they say they do. Don't be deceived when they tell you there are no cold calls.
