Pros

The leadership lack in values, impose their thoughts on others and managers get a 'pass' due to lack of overall leadership from the top down and sadly lack of integrity.

Cons

Treat woman shockingly, as soon as you've had a child you're not in the 'club' and can't progress demonstrated by the zero woman in senior leadership roles. Same goes for people of mixed race, none are in leadership. Directors keep saying 'On my kids' to get you to believe them. But again most of the leadership chat is lies. Company lacking in communication. You're told what's what and never given a chance to give an opinion. If you do on the rare occasion you're ignored. Having read older posts, completely agree with the misogynistic views of the leaders. Antisemitism - The company won't acknowledge the plight in the middle east. Management think voice notes are a substitute for leading, training or being present. A mark of a leader is taking feedback and listening. The Directors never take feedback or change.

Pros

Some of my peers were nice people

Cons

- There’s a lot of areas within Robert Half that need improvement. A lot of these are brought up in their anonymous GLINT surveys, but nothing is ever done to change it. - Lack of transparency when joining. Very unclear what the commission structure is and left to your own devices to figure out how to make bonus. I later found out I had to bill my base salary, each quarter, before earning commission. This is not industry standard. - Another area you are left to your own devices to is training. Whilst you are monitored on activity and hitting KPIs, you receive little to no training on how to do the job well and earn commission. - The "culture" is totally driven by drinking, and if you don’t join in, you are left out. You are told you have to do this to get cross-sell opportunities or nobody knows who you are. - The turnover is extremely high, pretty much all tenured people. But it was presented their retention rates were amazing . - Everyone who leaves Robert Half does not have good words to say about them. They claim everyone is their “family” but you are dead to them as soon as you leave. If you’re an average recruiter, who wants a slightly less demanding environment and likes to drink, maybe this business is for you. But for graduates, professional or tenured recruiters, stay clear.

The Bad Outweighs the Good

Pros

You'll meet great coworkers, although the good ones will leave after a year or two. Great sales training, but I heard from new hires that the quality has gone downhill. If you're lucky and get a good book of business, you'll be able to make a ton of money. Benefits are standard. PTO (they call it CHOICE time off) gets better once you've been there for 5 years.

Cons

Management: They are completely out of touch. Upper leadership were in production decades ago and have no idea how companies work now. Middle management will do whatever they're told, even if it doesn't make any sense. Most managers are just yes men who never worked outside of this industry and lack business sense. Compensation: They will tell you that you'll make a ton of money, but you won't start clearing your base (which is low) until year 2 or so. You'll start out with a terrible book of business because those who have been there the longest get the best clients. Management does not realize that they are successful because they inherited a great book. COVID Management/Layoffs: They were very slow to respond to the crisis. Most companies around the area were already having their employees work remotely, but our leadership was in denial and questioned what medical experts were saying. They reluctantly let us WFH and started spying on employees. Pulling up numbers to make sure we were making 200-300 dials a day and told us it's to make sure we had all the tools needed to perform our jobs. In late March, leadership in almost all the branches told employees that Robert Half had tons of cash on hand, so there was nothing to worry about. A few days later, they laid off about 25% of the company. Three weeks later, they laid off more. People who worked for the company for 24 years were laid off.
