Pros

Benefits are great. Some of the people are wonderful to work with.

Cons

I worked at the Borate mine and it would say it is the worst working conditions I have every worked in. Very high pressure and it consumes your life. They promote talking about your work experience but when you speak up, you find yourself in trouble. I would not recommend working at Rio Tinto to anyone.

Pros

Interesting benefits, home office, management adapted to modern digital culture, global culture and good salaries.... lots of promises on changes and safety and environmental responsibility

Cons

As everything changes so often with any reason, nobody is accountable for nothing, creating inefficient processes. Lot of uncertainty lead by a small elite very unproductive and boot licking.

Pros

• Opportunity to bring your career to next level • Opportunity to work with the best talent in the mining industry • Competitive salary and benefits for Montreal • Working for a prestigious and recognized company • Opportunity to grow quickly if working hard and international opportunities. Career development • Opportunity to travel • Strong culture and values, making you proud to be part of this global company

Cons

- Long hours of work, no worklife - balance consideration - Uncertainty and instability, too numerous changes in the direction where the company is going in the last 3 years. This company is not for “cardiac” people or they will not stay long - Lack of recognition. Lack of feedback in regards to our work. - As HSE being a priority, should focus more on wellness and wellbeing and mental wellness - - Loyalty. We can be long term employee or not, we are just "a number" that they can remove quickly. The company is not showing us the contrary unfortunately.
