Pros

Well I posted on this site about 5-6 months ago, I knew quite a bit about my company and how the whole "Rent To Own" business works. I am now however, a master.. Yes a straight up master. I have a college degree and originally started with the company as means to an end to fix my transportation situation. However I was intrigued by a hidden objective that one does not see when just looking at the sign on the door. Rent A Center has really just got BEAT ON BADLY, i've spent countless hours of what little bit of free time I do have reading reviews, customer responses, issues people have/had etc. Do not judge the company from a bad employee, or even a bad store, don't get me wrong it can completely destroy your experience with your rental..But i'm going to tell you my favorite part about this company, they give the Store Manager Full Blown Control!! I have been a store manager in 4 different companys and their is always rules and very precise guidelines. However RAC says we are the ocean and this store is your boat, now Row Son! I find this intriguing and fantastic, because then you can finally start getting out what you put in. I'm coming up on 1 year in april, and I hope to see the M.I.T program headed my way (For I've won Top Gun in Sales, Consistantly Grown Bor, And Consistantly Kept A Good Card Close and Open). I'll be honest tho, I'm doing this with only using 30%'ish of my real potential, Hopefully I'll get a shot for a store manager level, so I can see just how big I can make a store (I find it a challenge). In short, if your just looking for a paycheck this is not the job for you.. it's as simple as that. Find a store with a great store manager that stands behind his team, he can get you promoted to a store manager if you got what it takes. From there the sky is seriously the limit (Just dont be a make 50 sales calls a day just to hit the number 50, don't get caught up in a number..instead focus on trying to really make contact with someone that might buy and try as if thats your name on the store and you really care, same with collections dont call the same disco'd numbers 5 days in a row just to show you've called on a report.. try to collect that money as if it were your personal money they owed you).
