Pros

• Unique culture focused on meritocracy • Overall the people Red Hat hires are outstanding • Great Benefits • Vacation policy is generous for new employees • A lot of growth potential • Jim Whitehurst

Cons

• Sales org isn't tied to the culture like the rest of the company is (could be a pro for some) • Working as an HR recruiter is very brutal from what I've seen, wouldn't reccomend going into that part of the company. • A lot of growing pains from increasing the workforce so fast.

Becoming Worst and Worst now

Pros

1. If you are a nerd who wants no personal life and only work, then you can learn a lot here. 2. You can get good salary while you get hired depending on your knowledge.

Cons

1. It is becoming BPO nowadays since the managers are hired from BPO. 2. They force you to work more than you can. This happens particularly in Support Team. 3. Management is pathetic now so they won't hear for any opinion from employees and they implement new workflow as they want and force you to follow it and say that they are a open organisation. 4 Not a open source organisation anymore. 5. All talented engineers are leaving now and hence all the new hires they are hiring are from college and hence the quality is going down under water. 6. Forget about hike and you may get it if you are there for 2 or 2 and half years.

Pros

Fast growing open-source company Dynamic CEO Good perks and bonus Product based knowledge

Cons

Recently they hired people manager from BPO who are trying to inforce BPO process and culture in opensource company. You really have to work for long working hours, even on national holidays. Taking leave is a cumbersome process. BPO culture as most of the people is from there Manger's don't have functional knowledge, they hire BPO people at senior position No real reporting or analytics, most of the associate doing copy and paste job. They want SFDC professional who end up doing data entry kind of job.
