Worst place to work for…

Pros

I need to think hard for it...........Brand Value.

Cons

This place is certainly not for people who are ambitious or people who do not want to be treated as a doormat and wants to grow in their career. I am not sure whether I should blame the organization or the team but I will definitely not recommend anyone to join this organization, especially to people who need to relocate. The managers, senior managers and existing team members are deeply involved in politics who are 24X7 preparing a recipe to make this place toxic. The funniest part is that the newly born so-called “people managers” are always scared of their own team as the team members have better technical skills to deliver their work, that too without any guidance from their managers and this basically puts a big question mark on the existence of these people managers as they are left with the task like leave approvals, performance review (sometimes without even knowing what their associates actually does), introducing carrot and stick policies within the team, unethical practices etc. An ultimate “manager’s boot licking” skills are required for surviving, promotion, bonus etc.

Pros

- work mostly in the open - social activities every once in a while - talented and engaged remote staff - plentiful parking spaces - coffee machine, snacks with breakfast once a week - nearby restaurant and shop within walking distance for lunch - lots of meeting rooms

Cons

- not Red Hat, still very much an isolated startup culture - over-reliance on open source tooling is a downfall and causes major time loss - outward local image seems more important than fixing problems internally - not enough seniors, all new hires are grads and interns and the experience gap is far too big and neither benefits - projects are mostly uninteresting and repetitive (don't get attached to your code) - open office environment is often very noisy - office divide - little emphasis on quality, quick-merge coding attitude with the same mistakes being made repeatedly - questionable practices and information hiding - ever increasing talent bleed makes department morale and office environment poor

Pros

Paid well...pretty free to do what you want office near to house..they provided staff with toilets

Cons

often promoting management to those with no management skills and often with no people skills as well. Management living in a bubble, incredibly arrogant towards staff making the working environment pretty dreadful.
