Pros

-Generally great work/life balance. Occasionally you'll need to put in extra hours, but that's sales for you. -Good compensation, health benefits, retirement match (Immediately vested), IBM stock options -Incredibly smart folks work here - everyone I work with is generally great and always puts in their best effort. There is an incredible amount of teamwork and support on the account teams. -Some of the best-in-class open-source technology stack -Unlimited internal training for virtually anything

Cons

-Red Hat is slowly turning purple. Over the past 18 months, steadily all of the executive leadership positions have been replaced by former IBM senior leaders. Matt Hicks is great, but it feels like IBM has started to steer the ship more and more. Some of the changes they've made to the sales org this year are questionable at best (completely eliminating the inside sales org), and it's going to be very interesting to see how it works out next year. I feel like a lot of folks are going to leave. Some of these changes were not the most transparent, and that was very apparent on the internal surveys released this year.
