Pros

I deeply respect how our leadership has fought to preserve Red Hat’s unique culture even after the IBM acquisition. However, since 2025, we’ve seen an acceleration in the integration of back-office functions into IBM. As this process scales, I feel that Red Hat is gradually losing some of its standalone agility and independence. That said, Red Hat’s 'Open Source Leadership' remains a dominant force in the market, and I believe its growth will only accelerate in the AI era.

Cons

Red Hat is gradually losing its unique culture and its standalone strength.

Pros

Great and open collaborative culture. Excellent benefits and good technology. People in the trenches care about open source and value. Lots of community driven activities

Cons

Lots of turnover in sales. Unreasonable growth expectations Lack of business context purely tech focus sales motions. Business value is confused with financial value
