It is clearly a company where innovation is driven by community. It has grown a lot and since the products are open source, the real capital of the company is people

Cons

Red Hat has grown very fast and not everything is well organized, which can be viewed by some as a drawback but also as with lots of available spaces for creative people.

A great environment for improvement. They value people who have a steep learning curve, and people that they see have potential. don't slack! It's still a pretty small company and your not just a cog in the wheel.

Cons

Not really any cons. I love it here, the people are great and we have a lot of things in common. The cultural fit is important since you will be working a lot in teams.

Cons

No career path (at least in support) Too many people with too much time on their hands create silly policy for you to follow. real lack of understanding of the wold outside the USA.
