Pros
As an agent, you quickly learn various facets of HR (Employee Relations, Recruiting, On-boarding, Payroll, etc). The mix of Sales and Recruiting made each day different. Sales accomplishments and new clients were very highly recognized and praised, though not monetarily. They have a very structured career path - if you check everything off the list, you get promoted and a salary increase.
Cons
Working an as agent is very fast paced and busy, to the point of not having time to eat lunch or use the restroom sometimes! Temporary staffing is not a well respected industry, and the employees often do not show up for work or do off the wall things at client sites. There is a constant struggle between making the employees happy and making the clients/companies happy. Small branches mean less people to cover when you take PTO, so PTO is used sparingly.
