      A good recruitment consultancy that lost it's way a little when taken over by Randstad

      Pros

      Excellent opportunities to open up recruitment on a larger scale due to the size and structure of the company. Good cross functional experience and good support from relevant departments when tendering for new business.

      Cons

      Communication was not always the best between internal recruitment teams and there was often times when the right personel were not selected to present to potential clients due to a heavy leaning towards managed accounts not directly managed by consultants who have relevant experience in the accounts they were managing.

      - Concept of working in large global company european - Good base salaries

      Cons

      - Reality is working in small, family business - No benefits (no medical insurance), vacations are a luxury - Environment based in gossip, you have to be careful of what you say, even at management level - No possibility of growing after middle management, over that, only Director level, unreachable - No work/life balance, depending on department; big accounts, long hours nobody thanks - No processes, responsibilities are not assigned

      Great for a Student Job

      Pros

      Flexible schedule. You get to help others. You learn a lot as a note-taker for university lectures. You get to meet new people. You create your own workload, when work is available. There's a lot of freedom in this job.

      Cons

      Management is distant and only communicates through email and rarely over the phone. The amount of work coincides with classes so there's not as much work in the summer. You have to be careful of clients who don't want to do their own homework--know where to draw the line. Can be very competitive when it comes to signing up for work assignments; there are a lot of other support workers.
