I recently went through placement pro's (randstad) Bakersfield, CA. And was only doing it for a 14 hour ride along with a trucking delivery company. To begin with the orientation process had nothing to do with the trucking industry, the staff has no knowledge of how the industry works. The staff was totally unprofessional and unorganized. I asked about pay and how my time worked and I was assured the I needed to do nothing at all. Fast forward two weeks to payday, I received no pay. I called and asked why I did not receive pay. They explained that they never received my time sheet, that keep in mind I was never told about. After bouncing me from person to person I was told it was the company I did the 14 hours for that failed to send the paperwork for my pay. Now it's Wednesday almost 3 weeks after and I'm about to leave for my new job 4-6 weeks on the road truck driving and I'm having to borrow money from family cause randstad can't be professional and treat their employees like they need to. The biggest part of trucking industry is communication and placement pro's has no communication skills and very weakly trained office workers.
