Pros

Small, close-knit team Pay is decent Support and encouragement from colleagues/branch manager Fast paced - good experience Wine Fridays - social workplace and a good place to meet friends

Cons

The 360 role model needs to go. Its impossible to meet quota when you're expected to sell (lots of cold calling), manage accounts, recruit AND act as a receptionist (the company model is not to have one so staff alternate picking up the phone and assisting walk ins (sometimes get up to 10 a day.) For the first three months you also need to attend and partake in silly webinars which will take up 1/4 of your time. Its extremely hard to balance time with expectations. You're expected to work 8-4 but you will quickly discover your peers coming in early and leaving late and you'll soon follow. Not paid overtime and you will never see the quarterly bonus they promise in the interview... sales targets are simply unattainable. Tight deadlines but too many things to jungle for one person. The 'connect' software is pretty inadequate. There are other small glitches in their processes but I think I covered the main stuff.

Pros

Virtually none that are related to the organization. However, the profession of recruiting isn't altogether negative. It's a good opportunity to positively impact people's lives by giving them access to newer/better career opportunities. My advice is to seek that profession at a different company.

Cons

Where do I start? -Management is not collective or collaborative. From manager to manager you will find completely differing opinions on what needs to be done and how. This trickles down to form a very disjunct community of frustrated people. -You are nothing but a number. One of my colleagues was let go because she needed time off when her boyfriend died in a car accident. They promised her position back when she was more stable. When she returned (2 days later...) they let her know that her position was no longer available and they essentially "didn't expect her to return". -Turnover is horrendous. Take this from someone who has been in sales/retail (high turnover roles) my entire career. I saw 90% of my team turnover in 3 months. Never to be backfilled. -I reported into 4 different managers in 6 months. -My metrics changed 3 times. -I received no training aside from 1 week at bootcamp to assist me in on boarding and ramping up. -Healthcare is expensive and provided by a carrier with high co-pay that is not readily accepted. -Management has no business development plan or market penetration strategy. Everybody is left to do this on their own which is incredibly inefficient.

Pros

Nothing to share for this section

Cons

Every bad thing a consulting company can do this company does. Rarely are you paid on time and in full, no vacation, poor placement options, no support when your contract is violated by the client, you are overused, abused, and Randstad does nothing to support you. I was asked to lie on my resume and to clients constantly about my skills so they could charge more and pay. me less.
