Pros
Raytheon is a very well regarded within the defense industry. A good choice of benefits is available for employees to enroll (e.g., health, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending account, and 401k). The facilities are very nice and modern. The office is fairly small so you will get to know almost everyone. Management recognizes successful employees with merit bonuses. Opportunities to transfer to other locations. Focus on continuous process improvement with employees' input.
Cons
Vacation time and sick time are in the same pool. Not much vacation time can be banked. Roth 401k is not available. More employees are needed to spread out the workload, but an excessive focus on profits prevents additional hiring. Lots of unpaid overtime is required. It is very difficult to take time off because of the workload.
