Direction is missing

Pros

Talent pool is great but direction from management is going wrong way. Seeing 1-2 rounds of lay off every year and management is not worried about current products and just behind the buzz words of SaaS and Cloud transformation. Compensation is fine. Not great but no bad too. 401k - 6% , Medical plan is ok too. Life insurance is good and you can get upto 5x of your salary.

Cons

Management and Leadership US teams are being laid off at large and development is moving to offshore offices

Pros

Great people who know what they are doing. People are talented and can create great products.

Cons

Very unstable environment. Benefits were great under Dell, after separation there is a question on that. A lot of layoffs every year. Sometimes the product you are developing might not get traction from management and this is a huge red flag, get out before its too late

Pros

amazing products! SecurID - the most stable product ever! great people some people are willing to help whatever way they can great benefits obtained from Dell Harmonisation (maternity leave, pensions, dell benefits) amazing HR team and tell Dell really does impact and influence genuine people amazing exposure and great start for career direction is changing and it is becoming better

Cons

salary used to be competitve and the salary increases every 3-6months were well enjoyed. (based on performance of course). now they are aiming for 12 month industry standard based on harder KPI and capping. - understandable but with many people leaving, people have to pick up the slack and should be rewarded accordingly. it is becoming a boys group. people who know each other gets promoted, people they don't like gets blocked or even blacklisted. - the culture is becoming toxic - like shown on the last tell dell survey. fighting for commissions - with the constant changes and designations, some groups have to fight for commissions, to be assigned the right accounts or payments. a lot of work, a lot of orders, a lot of missing personnel. - sometimes deploying a PoC takes weeks as there are less people, for SoWs too, Processes, processes, processes WFH only applies to certain business units, but now it is being rolled out everywhere.
