Pros

Great Manager, really cares about the people and puts a lot of energy to make sure everyone is happy and are connecting with each other and the customers. She seems overqualified for the mess she is in and works super hard but I dont think she gets much help from up above. The discount is great but the furniture is too expensive to make purchases often. Co-worker are very cool and friendly, no drama, real people. Everyone works together and are ready to help.

Cons

Corporate is a mess, issues with clients deliveries, product quality, constant price changes and promotions makes it hard to build good relationships with customers. They are always dumping extra tasks on the managers without any notice and the schedules are always changing. The managers (leaders) are super overworked and I wouldn't want to be a manager here at all for what I witness from them.

Pros

The company tends to attract very smart, talented people, which makes for a great group of colleagues.

Cons

It doesn't matter if you've worked for one year, or over 10 years for this company, a Leader has the power to fabricate misdeeds about an employee. That employee then has to figure out how to improve their actions, that are based on fabricated accusations to begin with, or risk being fired. Quite impossible to do. I've watched dedicated, talented individuals, who live and work epitomizing the companies Rules/Values be fired after years of service, for truly no reason, except that the Leader wanted them gone. (In most cases, the employee could be replaced by someone cheaper). It's sad to know that a Leader has that much power over someone's livelihood.

Pros

Flexible scheduling (at my location). For the position the pay rate was good, but the pressure to keep payroll down meant nobody except the store manager was able to log 40 hours.

Cons

The lower level managers are always trying to please mid or upper level management. I was barred from making suggestions to them regarding supply and instore inefficiencies. Having managed many retail stores in the past I have never seen so much drama anywhere. Taking care of daily tasks such as floor moves required more effort then it should have.
