Pros

Beautiful work environment, opportunities to meet high profile people.

Cons

-Benefits are not great and expensive -max 10 days off per year of PTO -No sick time even if your salary -Expected to look elevated everyday so you spend a lot of money on clothing. - You will need to walk, talk, act, and dress exactly how they want, it’s the RH way. -They preach their ceo values every day and shove them down your throat until you can recite them word for word. -Leadership does not exist, they expect you to just know and do it, and if you struggle they will criticize you but won’t help you. -Favoritism is obvious and leadership acts more like a popular group in high school, 100% will talk about you when your are not in the room with others - Will micromanage you. They have to ensure it’s the RH way at all times, they will pull you in to have an “alignment” if you send an email they don’t like. -Can’t express ideas if it’s not the RH way -Will hold you back creatively, especially if it’s not the RH way -Everything is 911 and they expect you to be on call - poorly managed, will hire way to many people and then have to cut down hours to basically nothing and lay people off. Overall would not recommend working here, it will tear down any ambition you had. Worst mistake of mine to ever work here.

Pros

-Some of the most intelligent and talented people in the business. -the concept of the values, although no longer embodied by senior leadership and used as a disciplinary tactic -the furniture and designs are truly unmatched -decent starting pay despite terrible/non existent raises

Cons

-The company can attract top talent but cannot keep it -benefits package is a joke. No 401k match or stock options, 2 weeks vacation despite leadership levels. - toxic field leaders who are degrading, verbally abusive and create an unrealistic expectation of what people should contribute. -no respect for people’s personal lives. An expectation to be connected 24/7 because you’re salaried. -everyone’s scared of Gary so no movement on any people related topics. The focus is on expansion, not taking care of their people. -lack of flexibility in an evolving business in regards to business hours and work from home opportunities. Running like a retail store not a design firm
