Pros

The gallery has a overall luxury look for being an average furniture store. Restoration hardware does hire experience interior designers.

Cons

Management lacked RH values, leadership and responsibility. Designers never had time to work on Design projects. If it wasn’t a managers client that had issues they wouldn’t care to assist. No consistency in scheduling. Employees were very political. employee turnover due to management. The companies outsource shipping company was constantly damaging clients furniture. Management advised if the gallery sold more furniture they could have their own shipping company

Pros

As a designer you get to somewhat have autonomy and have your own business. Products are beautiful. Very meaningful client interaction and connections.

Cons

You will be more of sales person than a designer. The job descriptions and interviews can be deceiving. Management and leadership does not care about it's people. They pretend that feedback is important and they have an open door policy, which in reality does not exist. The culture is so unique that you either have to change yourself to fit within the standard or you need to leave. Constant client service issues and damages.
