Pros

The Remax organization allows realtors the ability to improve their craft and conduct business with a high level of professionalism.

Cons

The organization is made up of franchises and each office is independently owned. Sometimes an independent agent feels lost in a big organization.

Pros

RE/MAX does a great job with creating a professional environment to work and share experience. The marketshare and recognition is stellar for an individual agent.

Cons

Mostly older agents in my office who spend time doing tradtional "old school" method practices. ie not keyed into social networking, IT, etc.

Pros

REMAX is a good company name, easy access to company locations, broker was very knowledgeable with an open door policy and very helpful.

Cons

Since you are self-employed the costs of doing business can really add up. You either pay monthly for your desk/office and a percentage of what you sell or you can just give a larger percentage. Based on research I found that it was more to work at REMAX than some of the other RE companies.
