Pros

While it's likely dependant upon the specific office where you work, I've found that REMAX brokers are highly knowledgeable and the national office provides excellent tools, lead generation options, and education. In addition, with the recent changes in the industry, I've felt that the leadership coming from my broker has been top notch. I feel that I could potentially be at a major disadvantage if I were at a different firm.

Cons

There are desk fees, however the cost isn't as absurd as many think. There's also the option of joining a R.E. team to offset those fees. Also, like the vast majority of real estate brokerages, there is no base salary. All earnings are entirely based on commission. Sometimes that's fantastic, but sometimes it's not. It's a feast or famine business.
