Pros

Real laidback atmosphere. There was a barista at the office which was a plus. The administrative staff, for the most part, are really friendly.

Cons

If you're looking for growth, this is not the company to go to. QE is notorious for paying admin staff very little while stuffing the pockets of attorneys. Company culture can be real fratty and toxic at times.

Pros

Pay is great. If you're good, you will get to work on very good cases and gain valuable experience.

Cons

Hours. Even for a contract attorney, to really make money you must work the overtime. Deep water, there is little to no training. You figure it out as you go. Health insurance is very expensive.

Pros

Extremely smart and talented attorneys. Casual dress is a big plus - jeans, shorts, flip flops, sneakers. Easy for a young attorney to get significant experience.

Cons

Like any other top law firm, hours can be long, and there is a strong focus on billable hours. The things that are negative to QE are not unique to QE, but rather a common characteristic of BigLaw.
